1. Excitement

The classes are fantastic and they do so much for you. You’re excited to get in shape and to do whatever you can to stay healthy and to work on a better you.

2. Concern

confused

You’re in the middle of class, you just finished the warm up and are surprised and maybe a little bit cautious about what’s to come. But you’re sweating in a way that isn’t painful yet and you still think you can push your body father. Then your coach starts explaining the next part of the workout and you are concerned.

3. Dread

You’re almost done, but you still have metabolic conditioning and you know that the last 15-20 minutes of class are the absolute hardest on your body. It’s about to begin.

4. Agony

pass-out

Those last 15-20 minutes begin and your entire body is screaming at you for making it do this. What kind of torture is this??? And you’re panting like a dog, wondering how you can possibly make it through the final minutes all the time looking at your classmates in bemusement and maybe a tiny bit of resentment for how they are not falling over at all. And the whole time you’re thinking, Christ Almighty Danny (or Ryan, or Joon, or Matt) made this look easy.

5. Relief and (a lot of) Pride

13 - pride

You made it! You finished that stupid f**king workout and you prevailed. You are sweaty, sore, breathing hard but you are a f**king beast and you can conquer the f**king world. Seriously, nothing can stop you now, you’re a total badass.

6. Memory Loss

13 - forget

Suddenly, you are ready for round two. The excitement stage comes back into play, but this time we call it memory loss because you completely forget about the pain and the struggles and it’s all about the amazing high that you felt after you finished the workout. That’s what makes you excited to go back again the next day.
